THE SHASTA BIKE DEPOT

Active living excellence builds better cities for everyone

We believe when we give a lot more people the resources, skills and confidence they need to get around safely and conveniently walking and biking, people discover the ease and joy of active living.   When we add high-quality facilities and experiences, more people are engaged, and our community becomes healthier, happier, and more prosperous.

This is why with the Shasta Bike Depot we have designed a full-service set of features for clean and active transportation commutes and tourism services, to provide amenities, create community, and empower people.

Starting in Downtown, the services and amenities help build our Trail Town and create a Connected City.

The realization of a ten year vision for walking, biking, and Trail Town tourism

If you’ve been through Downtown Redding recently, you may notice a lot of changes.  One of those changes is construction of the Shasta Bike Depot on the corner of Shasta and California Streets.

We are delivering 21st Century amenities to empower and encourage cycling excellence and trail tourism to raise Redding & Shasta County into the ranks of top places for active, healthy living.

#TrailTownReddingCA

The Bike Depot will support trail enthusiasts of all kinds for walking, biking and clean mobility options.  We will soon have the North State’s first secure, long-term bicycle garage.

We are excited to share Bell Plaza with Pipeline Redding, a second location for the popular craft taps and kitchen in Mt. Shasta.

We are creating a social and practical hub for local riders and trail enthusiasts, in addition to people visiting from out of town.   With services and amenities for active living and clean mobility:

Redding Bikeshare
Long-term bike parking station
Visitor services
Guided e-bike tours of the Sacramento River Trail
Information exchange, Social hub
Youth programs
Encouragement events
