Downtown Connectors

(This page is under construction)

Local Connectors look to find safe and low stress connections to and from common locations within the City of Redding.

Downtown Connector Loop Trail

This loop is a great connector to many different parts of our city, and also takes advantage of the proximity between our Downtown Bike Depot and the world class multi-use trail along the Sacramento River.

Bike Depot to Park Marina

This route connects our Downtown Bike Depot to Park Marina Drive with a route through the Garden Tract.

Bike Depot to the Butte Street Boogie

One of the better ways to climb the hills west of Downtown Redding is to take Shasta St to West St, and then the “Butte Street Boogie”, taking calm neighborhood streets with a gentle grade.

Bike Depot to City Hall and back

This takes the direct route down to City Hall, and then follows a lower stress route back through the edge of the Garden Tract to return to downtown.

Bike Depot to NEXT Connector

Getting across to the Northeast area of Redding is now a lot easier thanks to a new bridge and the Northeast Crossing Trail (NEXT).
