Strong Community Involvement

Redding Bikeshare is a collaborative project with input and support from the community and local partners, including the City of Redding, The McConnell Foundation, and K2 Development. Redding Bikeshare is a part of multiple grant-funded projects for affordable housing and sustainable communities, and clean mobility improvements in Downtown Redding.

These partners include:

Redding Bikeshare is funded through the new statewide Clean Mobility Options Voucher Pilot Program (CMO). CMO is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment — particularly in under-served communities, and California Energy Commission’s Clean Transportation Program, which is investing more than $1 billion to accelerate the deployment of zero-emission transportation infrastructure and support in-state manufacturing and workforce training and development.
