Established in September 2009 by a handful of enthusiasts, Shasta Living Streets is an all-volunteer organization. The program has grown considerably as we innovate and develop new collaborations. The organization now consists of a core group of advisors, a large number of volunteers and contributors to specific projects, hundreds of event and social media participants, and is directed by Anne Wallach Thomas.
The program is supported by businesses and individuals, as well as leadership and outdoor activity groups across the region.
Shasta Living Streets works to inspire and support efforts to develop a more livable community by city, county and regional staff as well as local businesses and neighborhood associations, regional tourism groups, and the Healthy Shasta Health programs directed at reducing obesity in our area.
Shasta Living Streets is a 501©3 organization as a local program of the statewide California Bicycle Coalition Education Fund. Donations to Shasta Living Streets are tax deductible.
