May 4, 2019.  Siskiyou Scenic Bicycle Tour.  A revival of the popular  Siskiyou Century road race featuring 81, 69, 38, 21, and 8 mile routes, all of which start in Yreka, CA. After the ride meet in Greenhorn Park for food, drink and entertainment!

May 8, 2019. Bike to School DayCelebrate this nationally observed day by riding your bike to school! For information about how to commute safely contact Shasta Safe Routes to School. May 15, 2019.   Ride of Silence.  World-wide event to honor those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.  7pm.  Meet at the Sundail Bridge for a 10 mile slow ride. Hosted by the Shasta Wheelman.

Join Redding City Club at Final Draft Brewing Company for a presentation on how cycling benefits the local economy.

May 23, 2019. A Taste of History – Shasta Historical Society
Come to Shasta Shasta State Historic park for a day of fun. Ride your bike to the event for a free raffle entry. Pedego Redding will be renting electric bikes. Tickets $40/$45 at the gate. 

May 25 + 26, 2019.  The Art of Survival Century  A century ride in beautiful north eastern California and southern Oregon.  Rest stops combine excellent food and beverages with educational components, unique Ranger/Historian led talks.   Tulelake, CA.

May 30, 2019.  Ride with a Transportation Official.
Join local officials on two rides through Redding, with the opportunity to discuss recent and upcoming projects.

Lunch ride featuring the Diestelhorst to Downtown Active Transportation project.

Evening ride featuring Place Street Active Transportations Improvements.

May 31, 2019. Guided Historic Bike Ride along the Sacramento River TrailMeet at the Diestelhorst trailhead on the south side of the river at 10 AM for a guided bike ride with stops to learn about historic events.

May 31, 2019. Mayor’s Mountain Bike Challenge PartyCome to Maxwell’s Eatery at 5 PM for a wrap-up party for the Mayor’s Mountain Bike Challenge. Raffle winners will be drawn, and a free bike valet will be provided.  

June 1, 2019.  National Trails Day

Junes 7, 2019. Shasta Bike Challenge Celebration PartyCome to Chain Gang Bike Shop at 4:30 PM for the final celebration of the Shasta Bike Challenge! Enjoy music, bike activities, a cornhole tournament, a raffle and more with no cover charge. Food and drinks available for purchase.

June 8, 2019. Chain Gang Bike Shop.
Join us at Chain Gang Bike Shop from 5:00 – 8:00 PM to celebrate the end of Bike Month and all of the hard work of those who participated in the Shasta Bike Challenge. Come partake of food, music, drinks, a cornhole tournament, bike activities and prizes!

June 22, 2019.  Castle Crags Century.  Multiple ride options – one is a spectacular 97 miles with 7800 feet climbing!

June 22, 2019.  Humbug Hurry-Up.  Mountain bike races in Yreka – race routes for kids and for more experienced riders.  Overnight Camping available.

Late June – July.   Lassen National Park Vehicle Free Weekend  Enjoy walking, running, or biking on the 30-mile park highway during a vehicle free weekend before it opens to through traffic for the summer season.

July 20, 2019.  Fall River Century.  In the beautiful northeastern California valley with views of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen.   

September 14 + 21, 2019.  Crater Lake Car Free Day. Enjoy Crater Lakes 24 miles of beautiful trails free from any motor vehicles between the hours of 8am and 6pm!

September.  Biketoberfest.  City-wide event celebrating all things bicycle.  Hosted by the McCloud Chamber of Commerce.

October 2, 2019.   Walk to School Day

1st Saturday,  October.  Sacramento River Trail Clean-up.  8:00 AM to Noon.  Make a substantial contribution in the heart of Redding with a single morning of labor.  Join hundreds of enthusiastic locals working to maintain our beautiful trails and river ecosystem. Event organizers will have gloves, safety goggles, buckets, and garden tools available for use.

October 12, 2019.  Shasta Lemurian Classic Mountain Bike Race.  This mountain bike race is renowned for its epic loop, huge climbs and long, technical descents.  Brought to you by Owens Healthcare.  Founded in 1987.
