YOUR CONTRIBUTION MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE’S LIVES

Following the Carr Fire Shasta Living Streets is focused on doing better at what we do best. We build more prosperous communities by providing amenities, creating community and empowering people to develop great cities and active living excellence in our region.

In the past three years we have worked with our agencies and local community organizations who have come together like never before to revitalize our region.  The scope of new city and regional plans and projects is transformational, including two of the state’s largest Sustainable Community grants with transportation improvements and affordable housing.  But the projects are not yet built – we have lots of work to do, and then the fire hit, and our community is struggling.  Our region is poised to be a model for active living, but only If we continue to move forward and shape our future to benefit families and businesses.

Shasta Bike Depot, Phase I.  21st Century amenities to empower and encourage cycling excellence and trail tourism to raise Redding and Shasta County into the ranks of top places for active and healthy living.  Serves: people interested in biking, walking, trails, and transit.

California Street Labs.  A place for community members to come together to test ideas and actions that build a vibrant downtown and a great city.  The project supports artists, residents, entrepreneurs, businesses and organizational partners to refresh and uplift our city.  We invite people to create activities and prototypes, shows and entertainment to help people connect, contribute, address challenges and have fun together.

DEADLINE FOR MATCHING GIFT DONATIONS AND RAFFLE
