1st Saturday,  October.  Sacramento River Trail Clean-up.  8:00 AM to Noon.  Make a substantial contribution in the heart of Redding with a single morning of labor.  Join hundreds of enthusiastic locals working to maintain our beautiful trails and river ecosystem. Event organizers will have gloves, safety goggles, buckets, and garden tools available for use.

October.   Walk to School Day

April.   Opening Day for Trails.  Rails-to-Trails Conservancy

April  20, 2019.   The Whole Earth and Watershed Festival  Enjoy a cold drink at the Fountain Bar and Beer Garden, proceeds support Shasta Living Streets.

April.   Spring Spin Celebration with music, food trucks and bicycling resources.  Brought to you by Owens Healthcare.

April.  Shasta Lemurian Classic Mountain Bike Race.  This mountain bike race is renowned for its epic loop, huge climbs and long, technical descents.  Brought to you by Owens Healthcare.  Founded in 1987.

April  Chico Wildflower Century has grown steadily over the years. About 3,000 riders take to the hills.

May.  Caltrans Lunch Ride.  Caltrans District 2.

May.  NorCal AIDS Cycle.  Get on Your Bike for Good. 330 Miles,  4 Days,  1 Cause.  Since its founding in 2005, NCAC has raised more than $1.25 million dollars.  NorCal AIDS Cycle Facebook

May.   Ride of Silence.  World-wide event to honor those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.  7pm.  Meet at the Sundail Bridge for a 10 mile slow ride. Hosted by the Shasta Wheelman.

May.  Ride with a Transportation Official.    Caltrans District 2, City of Redding.

Mid-May, depending on the snow pack.   Lassen National Park Vehicle Free Weekend  Enjoy walking, running, or biking on the 30-mile park highway during a vehicle free weekend before it opens to through traffic for the summer season.

May.  The Art of Survival Century  A century ride in beautiful north eastern California and southern Oregon.  Rest stops combine excellent food and beverages with educational components, unique Ranger/Historian led talks.   Tulelake, CA.

June.  National Trails Day

June.  Castle Crags Century.  Multiple ride options – one is a spectacular 97 miles with 7800 feet climbing!

June.  Humbug Hurry-Up.  Mountain bike races in Yreka – race routes for kids and for more experienced riders.  Overnight Camping available.

July.  Fall River Century.  In the beautiful northeastern California valley with views of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen.   

September.  Siskiyou Century.  Three scenic rural routes, plenty of good food, fully supported.   Yreka, CA

September.  Biketoberfest.  City-wide event celebrating all things bicycle.  Hosted by the McCloud Chamber of Commerce.
