May 11-18, 2014. Amgen Tour of California. The largest cycling event in America, a Tour de France-style cycling road race. No, they have not held a stage here – not yet, but we know they will be riding the fantastic roads in the North State sometime in coming years.
June 5, 2014. First of the regular Thursday night Market Street Faire events, and the evening bicycle ride through downtown - Rideabout Downtown. Great way to cool off on a warm evening. Sunday, October 11, 2014. Shasta Wheelmen Jamboree Rides featuring Super Century. Soar on beautiful unknown mountain roads in the foothills of Mt. Lassen east of Redding. Professionals and long-distance enthusiasts will enjoy the 126 mile ride with over 12,000 feet of climbing. Supported routes include rides for everyone at 103, 63, 41, and 26 miles.
