Sunday, April 27, 2014. The Chico Wildflower Century. Regularly listed in Bicycling magazine as a Top Ten Century. It was first offered as an organized event in 1981.
Saturday, May 3, 2014. Give Me Wings Super Century. Soar on beautiful unknown mountain roads in the foothills of Mt. Lassen east of Redding. Professionals and long-distance enthusiasts will enjoy the 126 mile ride with over 12,000 feet of climbing. Supported routes include rides for everyone at 103, 63, 41, and 26 miles. May 7th, 2014. Bike to School Day. Walk or ride with your kids to school! Talk with other parents and your school leaders and get a group together to host a “riding school bus“. Many local events and activities sponsored by Safe Routes to School, Healthy Shasta.

May 16th noon-2:00. Caltrans District 2 hosts “Ride with a Transportation Official” on the River trail for all those interested. It will be a leisurely ride around the River Trail with our District Director John Bulinski. Riders will have the chance to meet and ask questions while having a pleasurable ride.

May 17, 2014. Redding Rodeo Parade. We ride too! Dress-up as a cowboy or in your favorite biking outfit and join others on their bicycles as we ride in the Redding Rodeo Parade. Hosted by the Shasta Wheelman and Shasta Living Streets.

May 11-18, 2014. Amgen Tour of California. The largest cycling event in America, a Tour de France-style cycling road race. No, they have not held a stage here – not yet, but we know they will be riding the fantastic roads in the North State sometime in coming years.
June 5, 2014. First of the regular Thursday night Market Street Faire events, and the evening bicycle ride through downtown - Rideabout Downtown. Great way to cool off on a warm evening.
